Anyone know where you can buy rabbit meat in Queensland?
We were bought up on rabbit meat (in SA) & still enjoy the occasional meal here in NSW.
Apparently the place at Kyogle which farmed and distributed rabbit meat has closed down, so anyone who knows a butcher which either sells or can order in rabbit meat would be be great.
Ta muchly.

I know the butcher at Aspley sells whole rabbits, and I would think that any butcher could get it for you. It is expensive though, and I remember about 30 years ago that it was available in supermarkets and was fairly cheap.

Hi Richo,
You said it. I don't think you can even buy mutton these days. We used to buy it all the time....cooks up lovely for stews.

Mutton is not available, (why?) yet is much tastier than lamb, roasted or any other way..

Underground mutton is a colloquial name for rabbit meat.
