that comment was a diverter to the topic at 'and, was a ploy to try to get rudd off-guard.
if rudd reacted, he would be accused of not 'aving a sence of humour,
if rudd didn't react, he would be accused of not havin' the balls to stand up to abbott
to rudd's great credit, he got past it, got on with the debate and caught abbott out, on many
things that australians are concerned about. cuts to jobs, expensive paid parental entitlement plan,
and of course, the ol' dog, work choices, etcetera.
rudd won by a mile, rudd was indeed, THE WINNER.
