Why is it a bad thing if someone admits to something being confronting???

I find The Burqa very confronting and personally think they should be discouraged.

I also find some people in full club attire very confronting.... I know that the ones I use to hang out with were always fully armed with loaded and cocked weapons.

It's almost lik eyou're not allowed to say something makes you uncomfortable without being branded a racist or intolerant.. Wait, that's actually what it's like!

Generally Australians are not used to seeing Women in a full Burqa/Niqab so it's only natural to find them confronting.. I actually feel sorry for the women who wear them, I can't imagine how hot they'd be in the middle of an Aussie summer

You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

Iza, that is just a diversionary tactic, the robes some wear, the burqa covers the entire body and face.

well, no it isn't at all like that.... you can say it, you just probably don't need to publicise it?

and why do you feel sorry for the women who wear them? they choose to wear them (regardless of whether or not their OH is forcing them) they can just stay home.

I wear long sleeves year round due to a health concern, also I wear a compression sleeve. If it's too hot, I just stay home.

I won't add it here .People can search if they are interested Woman LOL

Six Bogans Wear Burqas to, um… Prove A Point

its a good thing this is just a pitch for the ultra- right vote. prohibition might stop some from wearing it when in public, but a large number of these women would end up housebound if it were more than just a thought bubble .

More lives are lost to diseases caused by lack of sunlight than by those caused by too much - according to epidemiologist Robyn Lucas at Australian National University.   Women who wear the burka are prone to vitamin D deficiency.

Oh no! the burqa ladies may not outlive us all
