I first heard it the first time I heard Paris Hilton talk when she first appeared.

But if you walk through LA today it is pretty much the standard way of talking if you are under the age of 30. It's pretty horrible. 

And it has infected a particular group of Australian women of the same age. Someone mentioned Terry Biviano and she is a classic example - what I call shallow, shiny and stupid.
