Well then, if there are any qualified females, lets hope that they have the temerity to say "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down"
Perhaps the man does have inherant old fashioned or "traditional" values, perhaps he does need to be brought kicking and screaming into the modern era, but faults and positive attributes aside, the voting public have obviously decided that they believe that the good points outweigh the bad. The ideals that people have nurtured throughout their lives do not just become untrained over night. They take time.
Tony may not be perfect, and he will undoubtedly make mistakes during his term in office as a result, but he is the leader of the Party that was elected to run our country. At this stage, all we can really do is to wait and see just how well he does his job.

The right "person" for the job, regardless of gender. If a woman is elevated purely on gender, then that is sexism. And vice versa. We should be, by the rantings and ravings continually going on, by this stage in time, ignoring the whole gender issue, as we should also be doing with race, and seeing every representative as "persons". Only then will equality prevail.
Yes, I have an opinion. No you don't have to agree with it. Yes I do have a right to it.
