Wouldn't you think that industrial growth and population growth would follow the same trend as it did for the previous 10 years?
I am intelligent enough to realise that what 'I think' is not evidence based scientific fact
even if I can't spell as well as some and make typos

Isn't it a pity that pollies are so gullible and clutch at any straw that they think will get them a vote or two. After all is said and done it isn't their money they squander

Flash floods hit Sydney suburbs
Updated Mon 20 Feb 2012
Thunder storms hit the Sydney and the Illawarra from about 8:00pm (AEDT).
State Emergency Service spokesman Phil Campbell says the rain came hard and fast.
"Extraordinary rain. Terrey Hills had 61 millimetres in a hour, and Peakhurst had 26 millimetres in just ten minutes," he said.
"Our volunteers themselves were very very busy going to lots of calls around Sydney, including a number of flood rescues."
One SES volunteer rescued 10 people trapped in their cars at Zetland.
"The most serious thing for us was those flood rescues. In one particular occasion in the inner city we had 10 people in motor vehicles that were trapped in floodwater and we had many other instances in other parts of the city, particularly the southern suburbs," Mr Campbell said.
"But mostly for us it was people threatened by flash flooding, blocked drains and overflowing gutters."
Other suburbs hard hit included Banksia, Rockdale, Padstow Heights, Sylvania, Five Dock and Rosebery.
Flights coming into Sydney were delayed by the heavy rain, while some of the water also penetrated Terminal Two at Sydney Airport.
More storms are forecast for western Sydney on Monday afternoon, but the Bureau of Meteorology says they should not be as severe.
