It was chlorofluorocarbons, Donna...and they were banned. So I guess humans caused the problem, then fixed the problem, or at least stopped it from getting worse.

However, can you see ozone?

No. You can't. So it doesn't exist.

we don't need no stinking ozone layer. how would aussies get their bronze/red "tan" if there wasn't a nice hole to let the sunshine through unfiltered?

 

...imagine how big the damage for the industry would be, the drop in sun screen sales, hats, UV protecting umbrellas etc...and then all those doctors who spend all day cutting out black spots and melanomas out off our skin...what would they do for a living? become dentists?
