I  asked my publisher  to leave it in during subsequent reprints because it's such fun to show kids during school visits; and a classic example of the difficulties of proofreading - you read what you expect to see rather than what is actually there. I have been in classroms where it has been a set novel, or where the teacher has read it aloud to the class, and no-one has noticed it till I point it out to them.

Now if you want a university with real egg on face ..........

The typesetter made one tiny spelling mistake. Yes but obviously this will not be seen by thousands............it is easy to miss spell or hit the wrong button here......

especially if using a phone or ipad.

I was just in Big W... a sign glaringly obvious "sorry for any inconveniance"

I was tempted to tell them....... but I controlled myself.

I now try to avoid using my phone to post 😞 So many mistakes it's embarrassing
