When will power prices go down?

After the Carbon Tax is removed, I am curious how long I will have to wait before electricity prices and even the costs for other services that were apparantly raised, due to the carbon tax , all go down?

Will the cost of living go back to being affordable?

no. in fact  gas will probably cost  more soon enough . gas exports don't affect the price here.. meaning an abundance of csg makes no difference because the price is set. a world price..  we wont get cheap gas despite the boom in csg. just the problems it brings.

No

Petrol is cheap in Australia.....relatively speaking.

The carbon tax was working to reduce emissions, but that is only important to those that think about the future

There are those in this world that are all about me and now.

But that is why I voted for the Nationals.....because I am struggling to pay for the extra costs brought by the carbon tax.

about the same time as we get a honest PM

Not only an honest PM, but also honest members of Parliament.

I have a feeling that each and every member of Parliament is there to big-note themselves and after the big pension they would not get when retiring as an ordinary working citicen.

My father always told me, "If you can't ammount to anything, become a politician. All you need is a big mouth and learn to be convincing"

I would be very surprised if electricity prices goes down, they will just have a bigger increase to suck up the amount it would have been decreased by.
