it seems a conservative trait, lose the presidential election so play interference. a lot like abbotts 3 year tantrum. fortunately we have a better system.

FOR the first time in nearly two decades, the US government will shut down after Republicans and Democrats failed to reach an agreement over how to fund the country.
The US is in this situation because of a seemingly intractable deadlock over policy.
It's the first time this has happened in 17 years
Not the same as officially running out of money.

Australia does indeed have a better system Lakeland, I agree. Here's hoping this country doesn't ever work the same way as the USA or similar.
