It's like glass though?. A flat panel of glass.  (It's got ceramic written on the side - I've never used one)

 

How do I clean it? Will it scratch if I kind of scrape it off with a scrapey thing or a BBQ spatual?

I could have sworn this was a much longer thread the other night. Must be getting senile.

 

Daughter boiled the spaghetti water over and flooded the drawer below the ceramic cooktop.
