i feel sorry for those chooks, we have bought battery hens  and they have been our pets, sad to see them in a sorry state but given a few months and you wouldn't think they were the same hens.

i always buy free range eggs but can't wait to live somewhere i can have my own chooks.  i don't eat meat, don't wear wool or leather, use cruelty free cosmetics and try to buy cruelty free products for the house.  i am looking at milk alternatives at the momen but can't stand soy.  i might just have to move where i can have a cow also
