I can't remember exactly how long ago but my first laptop was at least eight maybe ten years ago.  It was a Sony Vaio.  I'm on my third laptop now.

Just interested, did you have a desk-top computer as well? Most people I knew had desk-tops computers then..big things they were, took up a lot of space.

Oh no.. it was so painful. Especially if you had a smaller isp that didn't have many servers and you could hardly ever get connected at peaktimes.

CM :"actually John, if you look at the quality of the pictures, mine are more clear than yours are."

Yes CM, but as I said they are "snappys",  not graphic quality  desired images, and with your 3 images every time they are  loaded from the server it gobbles up around 6Mb of data allowance, whilst my 3  images would be about 1/30 of that, to say nothing of the time taken to load.

CM, I do not think it worthwhile posting your other snapshots (reduced)  of your  red computer, but will if you wish.

so put the pics and specs of your computer up John.

I promise that I won't be as rude about it as you were about mine.

Wouldn't they be cached, not downloaded everytime the page is viewed?

Most of us want to move with the times and take advantage of improved technology not hold everything back to avoid the need for upgrades.  We may as well have stuck with VGA cameras.

FN: "Wouldn't they be cached, not downloaded everytime the page is viewed?" Correct FN, but I said : "with your 3 images every time they are  loaded from the server it gobbles up around 6Mb of data allowance,"

CM: "so put the pics and specs of your computer up John."  Standard desktop tower CM, and simple specs mentioned earlier:

"I run an old IBM Lennova tower M57 with a plain dull grey case (current price on eBay is $130) and I can watch streaming TV/films via a  10/2 cable connection, I also use a wired LAN  rather than WiFi whenever possible.  I have added a NVidia video card  to drive my Smart TV via HDMI, and I doubled the RAM to 4 Gb,  I also have a total of 3 SATA HDDs, for security and back-up,  in the computer."

razer deathstalker set you back, wot  ?

wrist-resters are ok, provided they're removable, don't like 'em, m'self.

m'self, bought ducky shine11 backlit, mechanical, came in at around $150 all up.

My computers are much nicer.Mine don't have any duct tape and I don't need to hide them behind temporary shelving lol

A3 apple laptops do come with large screens. I'm not sure what they're called, but I have a graphic designer friend who owns one.

Thank you, that was a nice reply.

The Deathstalker was technically $128;00.

I originally purchased the Black Widow which was $188. At that time it was the only brand and model that JB HiFi stocked, which is where I purchased it from.

When I exchanged models the other day to the Deathstalker, they refunded me $60. They now also have a $160 Logitech one in stock too (don;t know the model)

I was a bit shy to buy electronics from the internet, hence the B&M purchase.

I'll google the ducky shine, I'm sure it is a ripper.
