I was reading between the lines. He seemed a bit miffed that religion is discussed. He thinks people's belief should not be challenged. If he really cares about the truth, he would be welcoming all discussion/evidence that comes to hand. I was just using Islam as a example. I suspect he would not be too happy allowing religion to take over if it's not his religion.

Let me ask you do you believe in Unicorns? No. So you're an aunicornist. OK does that mean you cannot believe in Santa. Ofcourse not. 

Explain to me why you think you have to believe in God to believe in life after death?

I'm not necessarily saying that, Bob.  Obviously, it is not only a religious concept. 

I am still interested to hear from atheists re this.  I know why I believe in life after death, I want to hear from an atheist.

I know you said they can believe in whatever they want, but that does not answer my question.
