Probably the same thinking that prompts people to post 'The Rainbow Bridge' to comfort posters whose pets have just died.

I was reading between the lines. He seemed a bit miffed that religion is discussed. He thinks people's belief should not be challenged. If he really cares about the truth, he would be welcoming all discussion/evidence that comes to hand. I was just using Islam as a example. I suspect he would not be too happy allowing religion to take over if it's not his religion.
i dont think so. Crikey, you, and myself have had endless religious discussions......
OK, maybe you can tell me what his point is?

There's only one qualification for being an atheist. You can believe in every other **bleep** if you want to.
Let me ask you do you believe in Unicorns? No. So you're an aunicornist. OK does that mean you cannot believe in Santa. Ofcourse not.
Explain to me why you think you have to believe in God to believe in life after death?

I'm not necessarily saying that, Bob. Obviously, it is not only a religious concept.
I am still interested to hear from atheists re this. I know why I believe in life after death, I want to hear from an atheist.
I know you said they can believe in whatever they want, but that does not answer my question.

There are people who believe they have proof that no one ever landed on the moon as well. 🙂

I'm a she
just sayin
and I think that you are basing your comments directed at me on what you perceive my beliefs to be.
I'm getting the idea that you have no idea about what it is that I do or don't believe.
As I said earlier, I have no need to believe - I know
Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.

The problem is that ANY proof given as to the truth of the Bible and the existance of the God of the Bible is rejected.
No matter what it is they reject it.

and like that, Atwill's conspiracy theory has also been debunked......I'm sure he'd appreciate the free publicity though..
