if the actual report summary said 'pending further evidence or investigation' or something similar ..that would be right going by that ?

The Portuguese police case against the McCanns relied on dubious evidence from two British sniffer dogs.
PC Martin Grime took his highly-trained spaniels Keela and Eddie to the apartment Madeleine was taken from. In her book, serialised in the Sun, Mrs McCann recalled the 100th day of the hunt for Madeleine when a police officer told her the two dogs had indicated blood and human remains were in the apartment.
‘Police appeared to be telling us, on the say-so of a dog, that someone had definitely died in apartment 5a and it must have been Madeleine.’
Later she said the Portuguese officer boasted about the success rate of the dogs. This helped persuade the authorities to name the McCanns as ‘arguidos’ or official suspects.
However, after forensic tests were carried out it later became clear that no scientific evidence could be found to back up the reaction of the sniffer dogs.
Mr Grime is now a director of a forensic science company, GSS International, and is employed as a sniffer dog expert. He owns both his former police dogs and they continue to work with him.
Yesterday he was in the United States on business and a spokesman for the Hampshire-based company said he had been asked by police in the UK not to comment on the McCann case.

Madeleine: McCanns consult American lawyers over 'cadaver dog' evidence
Last updated at 18:07 16 September 2007
Kate and Gerry McCann's legal team have consulted the lawyers of an American man accused of murdering his estranged wife in a case where cadaver dog evidence was key, a source said today.
Two British sniffer dogs, one capable of detecting blood and human remains, were brought to Portugal in early August.
The cadaver dog picked up a "scent of death" on everything from Mrs McCann's clothes to missing Madeleine's favourite soft toy Cuddle Cat, according to reports.

People are asking questions.I am one of them.We are all being made accessories and need to be given facts
No, Iza, people are are not ‘asking questions’, they are indulging in salacious, uninformed gossip. The Police have already said many times that they have ruled out the the McCanns as suspects and they are under no obligation whatsoever to satisfy the morbid curiosity of conspiracy theorists by revealing details of what is an ongoing investigation.

Gerry McCann angrily dismisses Maddy death claims outside court in Portugal GERRY McCann angrily dismissed Portuguese detectives’ claims that his daughter Madeleine is dead as he arrived at court today.
Lisbon’s main civil court is hearing an attempt by former police chief Goncalo Amaral to overturn a ban on his book questioning the McCanns’ account of what happened to Madeleine.
Speaking as he arrived at the court building hand-in-hand with his wife, Mr McCann seized on public prosecutor Jose Cunha de Magalhaes e Meneses’s testimony yesterday that it was “50-50” whether the child is dead.
Mr McCann said: “The most important thing yesterday was what the prosecutor said, there is absolutely no evidence that Madeleine is dead and there is absolutely no evidence that we were involved in her disappearance.
“That is the conclusion of the process and that is what we are here debating - the conclusions of the process versus the conclusions of the book.”
Chief Inspector Tavares de Almeida told the court yesterday he believed that Madeleine died in her family’s apartment in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz on the day she went missing.
He said the main evidence for this was the findings of British police sniffer dogs sent to Portugal to examine the flat.
Mr McCann said the evidence of the police witnesses called by Mr Amaral’s lawyers did not surprise him.
“Why would we be shocked? We are not denying the existence of the dogs or anything else,” he said.
“It’s evidence we’re interested in. There is no evidence that Madeleine is dead, that’s what you heard yesterday.”
His wife added: “There’s nothing new.”
Mr Amaral’s lawyers argue that the material in his book - Maddie: The Truth Of The Lie - is contained in the official Portuguese police files for the case, many of which were made public in August 2008.
it's 50/50...and the important thing as Gerry says is that there is no evidence

Exactly and there have been plenty of times the OP has relentlessly accused others of doing exactly the same as what they are doing now.

freddie - re entry to the apartment. In some statements the parents have said they entered the apt (when doing child checks) through the side external door to the apartments which was left unlocked... so they could enter that way instead of going in the front door which would be more noisy and may disturb the sleeping children. Other times they said they unlocked the front door with a key and went in that way. Not sure which of those statements are official and/or which are published by the conspiracy theorists. Seems to be conflicting reports.

Here is a fact. NOONE knows (with the exception of the person who abducted/removed Madeliene from the apartment) what happened to her. That person isn't going to be telling either, unless they are caught by police, even then they may not reveal all.

I imagine all the staff on duty that night were interviewed and ruled out as suspects. - does Goncala Amaral's book suggest there is a 50/50 chance one of them was responsible? After all, Im sure the finger prints of one or two staff memebers must have been found in the apartment.
