B4010 I suspect you are treating the effect (shampooing) and not the cause . A healthy dog should not have skin odour so perhaps some tests are required to ascertain the cause (my 2 short hair Basenjis of 6 years have never had a bath/wash, ,just a hose down when they occasionally roll on something very dead) You are doing the right thing with feeding bones, and your problem will not be caused by bad teeth because you can tell in an instant from one whiff of  a dogs breath if they have rotten teeth. Other "smell" sources are ears, feet, anal glands and of course the skin.

Our vet was also a friend..... who visited often and he didn't notice....perhaps the early detection was the key...... but I have super senstive smell capability, perhaps the smell was not so bad for others.

Bunny if she has skin allergies then the natural grease and dead skin particles will be causing the problem.

I suggest you change her diet.

I had to change my dogs diets due to allergies and now there is no smell at all...

I put throw the food processor:

carrots

capsicum

zuchinni

apples

swede

parsnip

tomatoes

broccoli

pumpkin

and then slice up spinach.

Mix it all together and add roo meat and some beef.

I usually buy enough to last a month and then freeze it.  It works out cheaper than most dog food and this way you know what they are getting.

Keep your dog away from all grain products like wheat, barley, rice, pastas as this could be the root cause of the problem

It sounds like a bit of work, but there's no cooking required and dogs do love vegetables as well as meat.

Since my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was a pup I have used Dermcare Aloveen Oatmeal Intensive Conditioner. It is great for sensitive skins, can be used after shampooing but the best thing is it can be used between washes. Just put it on and rub through the coat and it has a lovely, clean smell. Can be bought at pet shops, online. Definitely worth the money.
