we bought a sprayer from b, the big metal one for 100 bucks. it's well worth it. i spray in the morning cos there is almost no wind just after sunrise. i also declared it MY job cos i can use the sprayer without having to bend down cos the hollow stick thingie where the poison comes out at the end is just long enough if you are 1.5 metre.

for a major spray we cover the other plants in plastic bags to make sure they don't get sprayed.

we try to get rid of our "grass" altogether. it's not normal grass, it's that nasty stuff that grows several metres long underground as well as on the ground. we hate is cos it chokes the other plants.

around the other plants i weed (the weeds, not the grass cos it's impossible to pull it out) if i can't get close enough with the sprayer and will have to kill the grass there using a brush.

We received the business and government phone book Lis but they are no longer distributing the residential one.  You can order one or pick one up at the post office if you need it.  Good move!
