A selfless act, so much more different than DDrivers who selfishly get on the road & don't care who they take out. He's a hero in my book. Robot Happy

he's not the first driver to do that, its the right thing to do for a professional operator or anyone really . there are good reasons to avoid killing people if you can, living with it might prove difficult. maybe a local hero sticker is the way to go.

Or a new truck.

The accident was because (he claimed) his  BRAKES FAILED.

I am interested to know why his brakes failed before I go handing out medals.

Presumably the police will be checking out the vehicle for road worthiness.

they said it happened in england. i thought australian medals were meant to be given to australians?

They don't drive trucks in England. They're lorries.

Every driver is responsible for roadworthiness of the vehicle they drive, as well as any damage they cause.  I would have thought that  to avoid colision with another vehicle at all costs goes without question.
