A selfless act, so much more different than DDrivers who selfishly get on the road & don't care who they take out. He's a hero in my book. ![]()

he's not the first driver to do that, its the right thing to do for a professional operator or anyone really . there are good reasons to avoid killing people if you can, living with it might prove difficult. maybe a local hero sticker is the way to go.

The accident was because (he claimed) his BRAKES FAILED.
I am interested to know why his brakes failed before I go handing out medals.
Presumably the police will be checking out the vehicle for road worthiness.

they said it happened in england. i thought australian medals were meant to be given to australians?

Every driver is responsible for roadworthiness of the vehicle they drive, as well as any damage they cause. I would have thought that to avoid colision with another vehicle at all costs goes without question.
