If I recognised the school (by his uniform) I would probably call the school and let them know what I saw. 

How old approx was he? Aged 10 or more, I would probably call the police.

My Mum would not let us have toy guns as children (which I thought was a bit off, the neighbours kids had plenty of them). However, when I had my own children, I wouldn't let them have toy guns either.

Tell the school that one of their students was playing on the way to school.........good grief.

Is that was going to be said?  I thought it would be more like -  A boy wearing your school uniform was waving what appeared to be a gun and a knife at passing traffic.   I felt it was appropriate to bring it to your attention.   Thank you for your time, have a nice day.

Really?......I would doubt that.

If you really believed that the boy was carrying real weapons.....you would call the police.....

I have raised a boy, now 35 and I have a grandson. Your point is????

You would call the school based on your own prejudice towards toy guns.

There is nothing illegal about children carrying or waving around toy weapons.

Whether they are or are not allowed to play with them is up to the parents....not passing motorists or their school.

The boy was about 10? The school thought it funny 😞 a left over from Holloween.

If they were real ( and we don't know) the boy could have caused a lot of grief. Better to be safe than sorry is not being an alarmist....it's being concerned for everyones safety.

am*3 mine were not allowed to play with toy weapons either. Too many 'toys' later become the real thing 😞
