Actually no. I drove to the school which was about a minute away as it was the quickest way to let authorities know. It would have taken the boy at least 8-10 minutes to get there at his pace, cross a busy manned crossing, walk along another road, another manned crossing and through the gate. The school and it's students were my prioriety. The police would have taken far longer. Station not close by and under staffed.

So when someone perceives a potentially life threatening situation.....don't call 000 for emergency services......

 

Whinge to a school admin assistant....lol.

 

If it took a minute to drive to the school, then surely there was a phone/people that could have called the police in front of the school,

 

or before reaching the school.

 

I bet the kids that go to the school know to call 000 in an emergency...

 

 

 

The school staff could no doubt tell the difference between someone legitimately concerned, versus a whinger making a complaint.  

 

As will any other professional who has to listen to the complaint......

 

and how many people did he shot and stab before he got to school?

In other words he was no where near the school.

Once notified, police response times and notifying local schools would be their decision......not yours.
