Some boys are well behaved and know not to do such things. And IMO little boys should not be walking to school on their own....but that's another issue.
Over react? Maybe I think more level headed than you? The safety of others are my priority and will remain so....how many times have we heard "I should have said something" ? Too little too late....

I don't think any child, boy or girl should be walking to school on their own at that age. We see prep kiddies walking alone 😞 There is before and after school care for parents to use. It's a safety issue.
