Prim, I have the best tree....from the reject shop, inflatable 😄
Even the star on top is inflatable. It only stays inflated for a day or so, then starts drooping.. and by the new year it's resting on the table lol
Then, unplug it and throw it in the Christmas box until next year.

Sounds like a tree of great convenience. You probably need to get some pine perfume to spray around it for a little bit of authenticity LOL

Prim, it is a big one here, I think it's about 3.5 metres high. One year I cheated and only put up the bottom half, lol
Karen, I do remember your inflatable tree from last year. I hope you remember where you put it 🙂
Better start looking for it now lol

Makes me cringe.
I'd love to be a proofreader for those catalogues or even news.com.au they make some shockers!
I bought a new Xmas tree from Aldi this year for only 50 bucks! It's 7 ft/213 cm. Apparently they are ugly, haven't got it out of the box yet. However, after the kids throw **bleep** all over it, it shouldn't matter.

Buzz, I was thinking as I was reading your post, it doesn't matter about the tree because it gets covered in decorations. Aldi's stuff is usually very good anyway.
I have managed to keep most of my decorations from my youth and my children's youth. I have many that have a special meaning to me. My OH and I always decorate it together and talk about them as we put them on the tree. It is a special time.

I think that this is going to be my last Christmas with a big tree. Now the boys are grown up a little one will do fine and I'm not a nanna yet. If/when I am then they can have the big monstrosity to put up and even worse, store.

Joono, last year we got a much smaller but really fat tree. I sat it in a big round red planter pot. It looked quite big considering it was not very tall. So, you can sort of have your cake and eat it too 🙂
