The cicadas are SO loud the kids have shut the front door because they can't hear above the cicada's chirping

The cicadas can be so noisy, but they're very interesting insects. Did you know they spend 7 years underground, then emerge with wings...mate...and promptly die? I have a book about cicadas that my dad bought me,,,he used to collect them with my son and our veranda used have the noisy things all over the place lol.
