They are only about 3-4 centimetres long and curl up into a tight coil if you disturb them.

Eww they look awful, especially in the pics where there's hundreds of them. Thank goodness for that great big sandy patch in the middle of Australia lol

Oh my. I just read around. Lol.

Good morning Stringsters

Tanties are not a good look, especially in grown adults.

Eeeeek, those millies look disgusting. Next time you boast about the wonderful west Laney, I will 'remember the millipedes'

Hot and humid here today and off to work for me.

Have a good day everyone

Good Morning Everyone Smiley Happy

morning all  Smiley Happy

We were staying in Central Vic a couple of years ago and there was a grasshopper plague. You could see them blowing in on the wind. The ground was covered in them, and every time you went outdoors you had to keep brushing yourself down. They were everywhere, It was creepy

Good morning Stringers 🙂 Yes, definitely not a good look but it's just the usual, Prim.

Deb I've been in a plague like that...locusts...they came in like a dust storm, amazing...and ate every green bit in our garden and lawn...and they even tried eating the clothes on the line lol. It was devastating for the farmers.

Christmas party soon....number two of three. Criez.

hi Karen, yes they're awful I would get them in my hair and hated the feeling of them flying onto my bare skin eeeww!!

I remember the supermarket floor was covered in them, every time the automatic doors opened they would fly in and they would crunch under your feet. You couldn't get away from them anywhere Woman Frustrated
