Clair, I think everyone is chrismas shopping. The couple across the road from us are having an engagement party this afternoon/night, they dropped a letter in all the mailboxes close by....asking if they make too much noise please let them know, wasn't that a lovely thing to do?

Oops it was false teeth, that makes it easier lol
.

JMK he had another pair (he called them his horse teeth) LOL he was buried in them. He thought he looked like a horse with them in, of course I didn't help things by tormenting him about his horse fangs.

Lmao @ horse fangs lol! Poor dad!

Like I said I'll be lucky if I find any gold! We just got a new coil that detects smaller gold

Hi Clair

I remember when metal detectors first became readily available - there was reputedly much rejoicing in Kalgoorlie becuse a lot of  mine workers there already had gold but just needed somewhere to find it. Man WinkSmiley LOL

Haha she ele, they had to metal detect their living quarters?

Clair how deep does the metal detector work? I'd love to get one.
.

When you first posted that I think I might've needed someone to explain it to me

I've had ancestors that mined in Kalgoorlie

So far we've dug a 4ft hole so..

4ft on big targets I suppose

Small pieces are no good, aim for the big bits. I think my dads biggest is 99 grams, but a lot of his friends have found much bigger than that.
