Good morning Prim, Deb and Iza Smiley Happy

Kirribilli Markets Prim!  Great fun and similar to the ones I went to yesterday from memory.  I think I know who you are going with and am sure you will have a super day Smiley Happy

Deb, hope your pick up occurs soon so you can get out and about - have you found the bows yet though Smiley Wink

Iza - hope your day is a good one and that your Christmas preparations are progressing well Smiley Happy

Up early and at 'em here this morning - don't really know why as we don't have anything major planned.  I tripped on an uneven path yesterday and have badly skinned my knee - lucky I was carrying something so could not put my hands out to break my fall otherwise it could have been much worse lol.  Trying to decide whether the knee will limit my time at the gym this morning ....... might just go for a swim instead as the salt water should help it a bit.

Sad news I heard about the toy run yesterday Flashie Smiley Sad

Hello to other Stringers as you arrive (I bet j*oono is having her usual Sunday brekkie and Karen another burnt offering) lol

.

Not yet but I will be shortly.

I might have a trip to Bunnings nursery and see what is available.  I'm looking for ideas on what to put in the front bed where the mountain of Rosemary was.  First I had better see what caused that sink hole that I fell into last night.

I was navigating my way around the sprinklers without getting soaked to try and see what was wrong with one of them and next thing I know I was up to my knee in a flooded sink hole.  It gave me a bit of a fright.  The retic must be split underground to do that I suppose.  It was getting dark so  didn't check it out yet.

Joono

Hi j*oono

How lucky that you didn't hurt yourself - at least I hope you didn't!

Sounds like a retic problem for sure and a bit of digging is going to be necessary Smiley Sad

What about lavenders j*oono - since the rosemary did so well they should also thrive.

.

We already have heaps of lavendar around the boundary.  Lavendar and dietes.  I am thinking of maybe one of those weeping kinds of bottle brushes for a bit of structure or maybe a frangipani, but they take forever to grow.  I'm not sure what to use for ground cover.

I didn't get hurt but my boots are outside the back door drying off!

Joono

Maybe prostrate grevillea for the ground cover j*oono - would go well with the bottle brush for structure and great for the birds ...... who knows, you might end up being like Karen with all her birds lol

Do you have Dawsons down near you?  I have always found their staff really knowledgeable - and their plants better and healthier than Bunnings.

.

Sorry Laney, no, we don't have Dawson's.  There used to be a good nursery nearby but they have closed down.  Goodness knows why as they were very busy and even had a little cafe/restaurant where a lot of the older people in the area liked to have lunch or coffee.

Anyway, I'm just after ideas today but I do want to buy.... a little Rosemary seedling LOL.  It's to go in a pot outside the kitchen.

Catch you all later!

Joono
