Mortar from oyster shells? That sounds interesting. Morgan Freeman is tracking down the kidnappers. Wish he'd hurry...I know he'll catch them in the end.

What they did was boil oyster shells until they changed into calcium/lime, then mixed it into a paste with water added sand and it held bricks together.

Laney it looked as if one oyster shell was enough to make mortar for one pair of bricks. You can't help wondering how someone came across using the shells for that
