The parents are 16 and 18 years too late to correct their child-rearing practices.

Yes, IMO.  The woman is despicable, but if the children had been nurtured and steered in the right direction, these tragedies would not have occurred.

I don't think the parents are to blame, really, 16 yo's don't make good decisions sometimes... but their tastes are certainly lacking......

Honestly, if it was my son, I would not have gone to a current affairs program, nor been interviewed.

If it was my son, I would have handled it very differently.  Its not for public gossip fodder, which  will follow these young men for a long time.

I can only guess that the mother of the young boy was desperate after the police failed to do anything.

Unless we are in that position it's hard to know what lengths we would go to....especially under stress.

The woman involved has an agenda....I know of no young man / boy who would be even remotely interested in a woman like her, age aside. 16 year old hormonal boys have their eyes glued to models, pip up girls, pop stars etc. not an obsese woman of 37 who has no sex appeal at all. Even a grown man would walk past?
