the Court case would also be for justice for the alleged victims ?

If I was an alleged victim I was be overjoyed to know the man had been thrown out of the country never to return.

But I guess that if he is convicted it goes on his "record" and hopefully make it very difficult for him to go another country.....so hopefully we don't just send the problem elsewhere.

What if the boys were lying?  I'm not suggesting at all that they were but surely the man needs a trial before he his thrown back to the Taliban because such things do happen.

Joono

Possible.

However, he was being sent back because it was shown he was in no danger.

this is an individual issue not an asylum seeker one.  there are many australian men who go to bali and thailand and abuse children does that mean all australian men are pedophiles - of course not.  he is here so he should face the same laws that any other person in this country does.

we are all people good and bad i simply cannot understand how people can judge others simply on race, religion, sexuality etc.  also can't understand the belief that we own this country so no-one else has the right to come here.  i am grateful that I was born in Australia and am willing to share that.  i don't own the country and will only be here for a brief time in the scheme of things.  yes i certainly believe that criminals should be punished but judging all people from a group according to the behaviour of a few is ridiculous.

Such is life.

Teddy and Joono...it is immaterial to me whether he is an asylum seeker or not...the Australian Govt were sending him abck as he was no longer considered to be in danger.. so he was no entitled to enter the country under this manner.

Regardless of whether he is convcted or not he is still being deported...so why waste the money of a trial..except that if he is convicted he will have no come back?

Where will he serve his sentence if convicted?
