IS, Voltaire defended free speech and also accepted honest mistakes e.g.
"Love truth, but pardon error."
However another of his comments would be applicable to a foolish statement stating that the previous ALP government
"- successfully reduced the number of asylum seeker boats "
"Prejudices are what fools use for reason"
Perhaps JMK was imagining this:

I disagree with the policy, I think it's cruel and getting crueler. Personally, I'd like to see the battle ships and three star general (lol what a joke he is) be used to go pick up the asylum seekers and bring them to safety

Beside that list you need to list all the wars and other bloodshed occurring at the time, and in which countries they were occurring.

You are right, polks.
I was just comparing dates with political parties.
Will go and do a bit more research as times of wars have made more people desperate to escape and find peace somewhere.
I am neither for one or the other. I just don't trust poiticians.

JMK: "The graph that matters is the one we've all seen on TV...it shows how boat numbers have steadily declined since Labor's Kevin Rudd introduced his policy."
"we've all seen" ???????? Not I JMK. I would suggest that a far more reliable information source would be The Parliamentary Library rather than a TV station, however, please produce your alleged graph, because I am interested in how it could possibly show a decrease in numbers, as since Rudd dismantled the Pacific Solution numbers have increased around 2 orders of magnitude.
JMK: "achievements of the previous govt. Here are some: - successfully reduced the number of asylum seeker boats"
"it shows how boat numbers have steadily declined since Labor's Kevin Rudd introduced his policy"
"reduced", "declined" ?
Perhaps JMK we differ in our interpretation of graphs, or perhaps you use a different dictionary than do I.
