I like that cabinet. Gosh some people are creative..

I have to go out, maybe it is my PC? but it is annoying....

yes, some people are very imaginative......

I am about to renovate my kitchen..... have to go buy a new philips head bit for my drill... wonder what OH will think when he gets home and discovers I have unscrewed the pantry and the medicine cabinet? to move them, so the new fridge I ordered today, fits in?;-)

On Facebook I subscribe to feeds from backyard diva, two woman and a hoe and a couple other american places and the stuff that they show is just great, I love some, well most actually that they put up and I thought the terms up-cycling and re-purposing were just American and Canadian terms for recycling, who knew.

Good idea to renovate your kitchen. GE appliances would be a good choice other brands such as Maytag, Bosch, Jenn Air won't be a bad idea. Good luck 🙂

i guess viking appliances suites me.

that is brilliant.  i love repurposing items, there are so many cool ideas around.

Such is life.

Do facebook links work here? The one Rosie posted came up my newsfeed yesterday from this page. Some interesting things on there.

That's a great page - thanks for that.  Will go through it at leisure later on,

Goodonya Patch.

You're fast becoming one of my favorite posters around here because you tend to have interesting things to talk about :^O

I don't know what you'd call what I did out in parts of the gardens closest to the house here - Trompe-l'oeil I think, but none-the-less it looks great.

I bought four tall old wrought iron gates of different sizes then cut holes to suit into the think tall hedges around here so the gates would fit into them neatly.

Then I re-painted them up and backed them off with huge mirrors made out of polished stainless steel so the reflected back another part of the garden to look as if there was another area beyond.

Another thing I did a few years back was to cut the whole bottom out of an old wooden rowboat and back it off with timber planking after putting shelves in it so it became a 12 foot high book/showcase/whatever.

It now stands in the grande hallway here as that area reaches the complete two storeys high inside whereas all the other rooms would struggle to fit it into because they are just 12' high ceilings downstrairs.

It now holds my collection of hand painted fine art resin animals as I fitted glass doors to the front of it to keep dust etc. out later on.

I love Ikea hackers for repurposed Ikea furniture
