That is all kids need, the constant smell of McDonald's wafting over their school... worse for their parents if they are always asking can we have McDonald's?

The thing is McDonalds are going to be a 24/7 place, Tecoma is a small town, everything closes at 9pm even the service station, you drive through there after 9pm and there is no one around.

The council dont want it there either, but McDonalds went to VCAT and they over ruled the council............any way, it was suppose to open middle november and it is no where near finished, I hope it never gets built, McDonalds are not wanted in the Dandenong Ranges or the Yarra Ranges..............it will be totally out of place......

If it is going to be open 24 hrs a day, that encourages louts to hang around in the Macca's car park too, in early hours of the morning.

Another reason why it is not wanted, no one that lives here in the hills wants it..

 

They also knocked down a building that had been there since the yr. dot and a resturaunt, the resturaunt is now in another shop further up, but the one that was knocked down, had beautiful view of the mountains........

Loved that Resturaunt...Safron Cottage, lovely food and beautiful views........now  we have that blue monstrosity.....

The first time that I stood along side the hills' people, roof girl was still on the roof as were the gnomes.The next time, there wasn't much left standing. The aboriginal artwork was still there but not for much longer.

I read on the f/book McDonalds site, that the *Tecoma 8* were now according to the court allowed to walk along side the building site.......That really riled me, McDonalds taking them to court, for nothing.....

 

Those guards that McDonalds have there  *protecting their site*, have been paid over $1.7million dollars, just to walk around and stop people from walking in their community.

 

It was terrible what they did and are doing.......they think the kids will go there, but all or most kids say they dont want maccas in Tecoma.

 

I did hear that Healesville is next.
