It was really interesting and explained where a lot of our Christmas traditions came from, but my goodness, the food they ate was disgusting. Christmas started with a "Yule log" thrown on the fire and it was supposed to burn for 12 days
They feasted for 12 days, rather than just Christmas Day as we do.

Shopping AGAIN Deb!!!!!!!
Feasted for only 12 days? I think we all manage to do that 365 days of the year
Sorry Deb - I am feeling in a somewhat frivolous mood ![]()

I can imagine how much weight I'd put on if we had 12 Christmas Days

I accidentally did some shopping today.
Went to get food for the kids after work and accidentally bought a leg of ham, smoked turkey breast and 2 big boxes of lindt chocolates #HB 😉 Was going to buy that stuff on Sunday but I saw the stuff and thought, bugger it - get it now.
I also accidentally bought a bottle of champagne, which is fake because the Australian stuff is not allowed to be called champagne any more. They had the real stuff from France but that **bleep** was 4 times the price. I'm saving it for mother and I.

Oh Buzz - your accident was beneficial then.
At least you don't have to do it tomorrow WHEN YOU HAVE STARTED YOUR HOLIDAYS!!!!!
That has to be a bonus ![]()

that means all my presents will be wrapped in green and maroon paper lmao. It's the only paper I have and the reason I have it is because it's very ugly so hasn't been used in other years. It's also cobwebby in the tube and dusty on the outside.
Laney, great list! Soon you'll be able to add my wrapping duties.
