I guess i do have the right otherwise this thread would of been removed

You are confusing what is against  forum rules and what is your role on this forum.  You seem to assume that you have the right to dictate people what they can or cannot discuss.   Well, you DO NOT.

Your post is interesting. I'm unsure which poster you're against.

My thoughts are that daydream**believer is sick to death of seeing mainly political threads day in, day out and would prefer having one for each side where those who choose to partake in political discussion could go at it and not clog the board. This could also help the mods.

Or, you are agreeing on the side who believe they can post what they want, how many times they want, and how dare you say you don't like it.

It gets confusing when posters  post about posting wihin the guidelines

And, according to those rules, daydream**believer is not out of line posting their opinion. Obviously or the mods would have removed the thread.

Only if you have an axe to grind.

With all due respect imo anyone who believes that political discussion is about picking ONE side doesn't really understand politics.

Politics is the art of gaining power and keeping power - anything else that happens along the way is subordinate to that premise.

Did people say  the OP was out of line simply for posting her opinion?

I think the problem is the expectation that posters would accept the OP's opinion and cease starting political threads simply because the OP doesn't like those sort of threads. Why would they do that? It is acceptable to start threads on politics here.

I don't agree there is a 'side' issue with political threads either. As long as posters don't start attacking any other poster personally.. it is fair game.

Yes.  Overindulging however, can have adverse effects.

That is not what I posted.

I posted one thread for each side, I did not post that anyone had to stay with the party they preferred. Go at each other in those two threads.

Tony Abbott and his MP's are providing lots of material for discussion. LOL.
