What a great idea they are. I didn't even know you get such a thing

My son has a waterfall into a fish pond, the rosella's are fed maple syrup on bread, when they finish they go for a dip under the waterfall.

What a life!

Lol

BTW. Nice Chrissy outfit you have on there -:)

Deb, if they are late to feed them, they get on the widow sill and tap on the widow with their beak's, or climb up the screen door, they eat out of their hands. Woman LOL

When we first moved to this place I really wanted to build a huge pond/little lake like that and fill it with trout but my husband thought I was bonkers.

We got a swimming pool instead but I think I would have got more use out of the pond.

I had a friend who turned his pool into a yabbie pond

If I'd ever buy a house with a pool, this is what I would do with it:

That looks great!  I don't reckon I'd get away with it though.  Mine would probably look nice because it has a limestone edging.

I'm quite sure that turning it into a pond would require just as much maintenance as a swimming pool or else you would just end up with a giant mosquito breeding ground.

How do they stop the fish getting into the filter basket?
