I don;t think I have ever tasted a cumquat.

 

I like mandarins..................pips don't bother me.

 

I can't wait for the seedless grapes to drop in price...................I eat them by the kilo when they do.

 

Is anyone else still struggling with Christmas leftovers.

 

Our eldest son went to work with duck sandwiches yesterday.

 

We did not even buy fish and chips for tea tonight like we usually do on a Saturday...................I cooked up some new potato and we had them with ham..............and apple sauce................yummmmmmmmm

I think that spirit you mention is non-existent in some - perhaps they never possessed it or something in their lives has robbed them of any.  

 

Cumquats - yuk - we made cumquat brandy once - and once only.  It stood in the back of the cupboard for years because it was so disgusting but for some reason we could not throw it out!  We did eventually though as we thought it might explode lol

I am so over Christmas food. I still haven't made the Eton mess lol. The pav is still in its box and the fruit etc is in the fridge, but errrrk, I don't think I'll ever be hungry again.

I have enough Christmas snacks to last a few months...and chocolates that should last a few months, but probably won't.

The Christmas tree is deflated and back in the box, ready for next year.

Flashie, cumquats taste like a mix between mandarin and lemon, but not quite as nice lol. They're bitter and full of seeds.
