Nothing wrong with broadening your horizon. I have family and friends who have gone to Bali over the past 30 years and all have said how much they love it there and look forward to the next holiday.

Mugsy that is normally one of the times I go but this year I have a couple of the Balinese coming here to stay.
Be interesting to know how they like it.
My friend will be there from the 7th March till the 30th March and she will be taking care of business for me.
Is that the only time you are going this year?
I will be there again on the 18th August till the 14th September.

Noelene ordered Fritto Misto - a selection of calamari, tuna fish and prawns with French fries - and her daughter had a dish of fried calamari. They finished off with desserts of Crema Al Caramelo or cream caramel and Crepes Micado or thin pancakes with vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate sauce. They also had one pineapple, coconut and banana juice and three iced lemongrass teas.
One thing which I had wondered about was what they drank ..though the drinks don't seem to be being considered .
My thoughts are with the family and friends...I hope that they have some answers soon

Dinner receipt. Very sad, whatever it was that caused their deaths. Mahi-mahi was the fish.

If the cause is food, I'm thinking a food allergy to something like peanuts....
I doubt it was food poisoning, at least not a naturally occurring case of food poisoning from pathogens consumed in the 6 hours prior to death, can't rule out that someone may have purposely laced their food with a poison... maybe they got food intended for somebody else?
well an ayutopsy can, but no results from that yet, so the rest is all speculation.
Anyone know if these are the only suspected cases? Seems to me that there would be more than 2 people affected, and as we have not heard of a significant spike in unexplained deaths from the region, seems a bit strange that only 2 people have been affected and but only them, this severely.
Maybe some underlying health issue exacerbated by normal food poisoning (they did have some prescription medicine from Australia for something)
don't know - just speculation. But I do not believe this is any garden variety kind of food poiosoning contracted in Bali within that 6 hour incubartion period. Not even Botulism works that fast with that severity if there are no other contributing factors.
Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.
