I don't go to Aldi frequently but I have seen the bag check sign. It stands out as it is the only thing on the window/glass.

Hubby and me have just come back from the local Aldi..............searched everywhere for their bag sign, there wasnt one, and my daughter went to Aldi in another suburb and there was none there either............this is in Melbourne, I also went to another s/market on the way home, just a local one, and no signs there either.............

Have you noticed if they do bag checks at any of those Aldi's or your local one, purple? 

ALDI might be getting some extra customers this week from here.

Now that's interesting.   I just don't think there's a sign in my local Aldi where they do regular bag checks, so I'll have a good look out for it.  Even so I doubt I'll make a fuss if they want to do a bag check as I am usually way too busy for it and just want to get onto other things.    As for the poster who mentioned outrage at bag checks,    oh please, spare me.  There is a lot to get outraged about in this world but not that.  

As long as they don't ask you to comply with the conditions of entry without making them known to you, then there is no problem.

Some shops have conditions of entry, some don't. Neither is against the law.

They dont do any bag checks at any of the Aldi's that I have been too. There are no notices up to say that they do.

I've worked in retail, we checked bags at random. 

I always offer my bag rather than be asked, it makes it easier.

Gosh, poor aldi staff having to deal with such ranty customers. They ask everyone. Just show them your bag properly without narky comments and then it's not an issue.

Get over it. Make a complaint to the store manager. Sitting here whinging on bubhub isn't going to fix anything
