Donna objects to her bag being inspected. That's ok, she is entitled to feel how she wants to.

If a store makes a bag inspection a condition of entering their store, and they make this known to you before you enter this store, (It doesn't have to be by a sign) then you have to suck up your objections and comply if you accept those terms and conditions if you enter that store.

If however, a store chooses not to make bag inspections a condition of entry, then they cannot force a bag inspection. They can ask, but in this case, you can refuse. They can detain you and call authorities, IF they have proof that you have stollen something, but they cannot detain you without proof.

It's not enough to think or believe, you have to prove it.

I don't  think Donna has ever been requested to have her handbag inspected in a store, certainly not in Aldi anyway.. didn't she post that earlier or in another thread.

The rest of your post crikey has already been posted in this thread about 7 times.

I don't think you have to comply at all, call in the gestapo 🙂

Just wait until she goes to uni and attends a lecture where all electronic equipment not deemed compulsory by a medical pratitioner have to be surrendered to the front for the duration of the lecture LOL...

On some classes which are not allowed to be recorded by means other than pencil/paper, we have bag checks for Intellectual Property reasons.

Or if a tutor believes we are recording a tutorial, they can inspect our belongings and surrender any "suspicious apparatus" to security.

Ddb . . . It might have only been that particular shop assistant who was doing that, I don't know. I only know I saw her doing it.

maybe you might like to stand outside the store and watch for a minute or two and let us know what you see?
