So Donna you would only deport those who you do not agree with and those who do not agree with you then.
Does that extend to those who were born here too?
No hope for me then 🙂
Oh and where would you deport the Australians to? Tasmania?

The high court ruling was emphatic regarding that fact.
so what are the High Copurt doing about it?
They're supposed to be the watchdogs of the government.

Who is in favour of allowing the current unlawful entry into Australia, by boat or any other means?
Stand up and be counted 🙂
i'm for allowing asylum seekers in, its legal to seek asylum just as its legal for morrison to twist the language.
is it illegal to arrive by unauthorized boat?
also, if everyone was ok with the boats coming, why were they so critical of Mr Abbott when the boats were getting here?
To me this all looks like a political point scoring opportunity to me, rather than a genuine concern for the asylum seekers.
true, unfortunately thats how abbott started out and since then its gone ahead in leaps etc. etc. or maybe thats unkind, and it started with 'honest john' and tone is merely a copycat.

@donnashuggy wrote:But I do think that asylum seekers need to follow the processes that we put in place
That would be fine I suppose, they could wait in Africa for 500 years I suppose, do you know their life span? Or they could risk their lives and get here sooner, either way they are going to die.
Abbott is heartless and gutless, he is dealing with real peoples lives here.
and what about those who are waiting?
Should their chance at processing be delayed because others chose not to wait like they have?
I'm sorry, that doesn't cut it for me. There are Thousdands waiting in refugee camps, waiting to be accepted somewhere. They're important too.
and unfortunately, we cannot help everybody in need of asylum.

In fact I believe (bush lawyer style) that by transferring IMA's to an Australian vessel (small or large) they have in fact
"arrived' within Australia's legal jurisdiction whether they actually make landfall or not is irrelevant..... just my opinion
though it is not addressed in the high court ruling

How can the high court even know about it while Morrison's playing blind mans bluff with the logistics??
.... but we can only live in hope... that when the game changes to pin the tail on the donkey
... it hangs squarely between Morrison's loins...
