That same clever soul does not have enough respect for his fellow man and decided to stage the "March" on a day that commemorated a significant event for the Christian Community.

March 17 is believed to be the date that St Patrick died, and St Patrick is a significant figure in Christianity,

All it shows is a lack of respect and not just for the intended target,

people will take sickies to attend.

it will also affect trade as people stop doing what they normally do on a monday and attend.

Who cares about St Patricks Day anyway?

It's on different days in different locations, from the 15th to 17th.

I found this and have no idea who wrote it as I am fairly sure they don't actually speak for 99% of us  😄

although maybe the points they raise would be agreed upon by 99%.
