on a lighter note - if you ride dresssed like your photo - how would you expect a driver to concentrate and get that 1 meter correct???

collected a freebie 26" out of gumtree in Gosnells today, oh my and he actually wanted you to email your phone number
quick response too (a rare encounter)
all i can see wrong with it is a broken spoke on the rear wheel - slightly buckled, sort that out
looks hardly used and a near new model
Signatures suck.

a mountain bike with decent tyres - a little gravel shouldn't worry you - you'll be able to ride beside the road.

Signatures suck.

l*t on the shared pathway I will continue to walk in the middle until the path is repaired and safe for me to walk on the left when heading east. Walking west has its own challenges in that it is overgrown with shrubs and trees and some are grevillieas and I have a contact allergy to grevillieas so in the middle I will walk and only move over when it is safe for me to do so.
rabbit I have watched that footage again and I don't know what you mean about the little orange flashing light, the indicator is not turned on until the lead cyclist is about well and truly beside the van and the second cyclist would probably not have been able to see it either.
One metre law would have made no difference, the van driver just turned into the cyclist without any warning, I am sure the cyclist would be found doing the correct thing if it went to court and even if they were not riding according to the letter of the law, what the van driver did was so wrong.

Bicycle riders are a real pain here also, joggers too! I used to ride about 50 miles a day (before I owned a car) but times are different now. Today everyone drives which equals 3 or 4 times the vehicles on the road. We have hundreds of miles of well maintained bike/jogging paths...but do they use them? No...They prefer streets worn clean by car tyres.
Roads are not made for cars,
Yes they are, and they'd be dirt paths if not made for cars.
I have to cross the double yellow line to pass a bike on a winding hilly roads barely wide enough for cars to each other, for what? So someone can get exercise! Get a stationary bike or treadmill. If that isn't bad enough I've even seen people jogging pushing a cart with a baby in it! On the same skinny roads that cars almost clip each others mirrors passing each other.
I'd be in divorce court if a wife of mine went jogging with the baby. No visitation either!
Right or wrong...people get killed all the time jogging and bike riding.
