She wasn't telling her how to dress. Again - context...

It's not open to misinterpretation if you understand the context. It was very clear what she meant when she said it for those that watched the entire show.

When GG told us all to stop wearing bras, she wasn't telling us what to/what not to wear. She was saying that women don't need to be holstered up like that. Context...

Not so long after her comments about JG, Greer appeared on TV on another programme,   her full body was shown, OMG she looked 9 months pregnant, it made me wonder if she had a mirror in her home.

I don't think she would care.

It was incredibly rude in whatever context.

how she dresses, whether gg strips off every couple of years, that is their business...it is about how they feel about their own body.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buttercup: You mock my pain! Man in Black: Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.

Nah, Greer is just a cantankerous old vixen who likes the limelight and is not fussed about how she gets it. The chip on her shoulder shows as plain as day 🙂

Not very becoming I might add but it fits her to a tee.

I wonder if sh would fit into this community 🙂

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

How unkind.

No I was just being honest Smiley LOL

The discussion was about public comments about womens looks/dress. GGs comments (in her own call-a-shovel-a-shovel way) were basically saying that JG needed to understand her body and not get trapped dressing in a way that was expected cause it didn't suit her.

Tony Abbott agreed with you Smiley Very Happy

"Germaine Greer was right on that subject"

OK, but I am surprised that you said it.  Others here yes, but not you.

Polks, i'm sorry I disappoint you, but I guess at times our opinions may differ on some subjects. I said the same thing on here about her comments soon after that particular Q&A, and if I recall correctly the vast majority of posters who commented were of the same opinion, she was rude, and her comments were uncalled for.
