Pepe, your fishbowl would have been a good photo for the Humourous thread, love it ![]()
I have an old turbo oven that my SIL gave me on one of her cleanouts. I thinks it's great. It doesn't seem to cook roasts in the middle, but it is really old and I'm not sure the thermostat works properly. I'll get a new one, one day.
My only tip is, don't leave th baked vegies in there after they have cooked or they go soggy from the steam coming off the juices in the bottom (from the meat)

Same colour
My mum gave it away when I wasn't able to afford some repairs on it as a teenager
I loved that car
To be fair, she gave away pretty much anything if someone said oh, I like that...
Sigh.
Not a good day at all.

Got my first turbo oven in the mid 80's when they first went on sale here.
About 6 years ago I finally retired the original one and bought a new larger electronic one. It is great but I still found that the smaller one was large enough for just the two of us so I got the smaller size as well.
I have not used my ordinary oven in over 25 years as the turbo oven does everything I need.
I would not be without one now.

What a most splendid conversion Pepe, that's the equivalent of a " dream palace" for fish ... ![]()
I have one of these turbo ovens and they are fabulous which means I have rejected the new built in oven forever unless I want to cook a huge cake, but that's easy to avoid ..
Between the slow cooker, the turbo oven, the sandwich maker and the five in one cooker, the poor oven just sits there as a wall decoration, poor thing!

I decided the oven took up too much space, so It "went". Replaced it with a 4X burner gas-top, and the standard microwave was replaced with a 3 function unit that has normal microwave, fan forced cooking, or standard electric oven style infrared grilling. More room than turbo fanforced, but no large roasts though.

Love my turbo oven. Bought it for the caravan but use it all the time now. We have two and at Christmas time we put the roast potatoes in one and baked pumpkin and carrots in the other to keep them nice and hot and everything else went into bain maries - excellent smorgasbord for everyone to help themselves and only take what they eat. I have baked scones and bread & butter custard in the turbo oven with no problems. Still use the oven a lot though.
