anyone remember the different coloured wooden things that came in a box and each one represented a different number, they were to help with arithmetic, I loved them but they didn't help me much - to busy ooohing and ahhring at the different colours.

Those coloured wooden things were cuisenaire blocks,boris1gary.I used to always enjoy making cranes etc with meccano and constructing buildings with playing cards:-)
