Dad and Dave

Everyone had to shush when it was on.

I remember Romper Room and Humphrey B Bear, Boris. I grew up in Adelaide, and another highlight of going into the city was the ferris wheel at the top of Cox Foys. Oh and the John Martins christmas pageant.
My first job, whilst at high school was at Venture. I remember having to wrap up all the purchases on register.

Every housewife had a dripping pot in the kitchen.

Dripping with a little salt and pepper on thick sliced, fresh bread was the most delicious snack.

ten teeny, you just reminded me of the clown on stilts that used to walk up and down outside a menswear shop on the mainstreet, it's Lowes now can't remember what it was then.

Number 96 - was never allowed to watch it, but it seemed sooooo exciting.

Not sure Boris, I remember. Thwaites or something like that on a corner. I havent lived in Adelaide for many years now.

this was in Wollongong.

anyone remember the different coloured wooden things that came in a box and each one represented a different number, they were to help with arithmetic, I loved them but they didn't help me much - to busy ooohing and ahhring at the different colours.

Cuisenaire rods was their official name. My two older kids used them. They were the new 'Big Thing' in eduction - and they proved just about as useful as every other 'Big Thing.' Smiley LOL
