I hope you have gas cooking too Prim.  I'd go mental if I couldn't even make a cup of tea or coffee.

 

Isn't it so quiet in the house when there is no power.  It's kind of nice.

It was quiet Joono. I always have 'stuff' to do so I didn't really notice except when I wanted to listen to the news. I had to race and put batteries in a radio.

 

We have gas so we could make a cuppa.

 

The work took longer than they said they would but it was well organised with a note in our letterbox a fortnight ago, then a reminder last week and then a 'thank you' note for our patience after the finished.

We're just back from shopping & I'm still pinching myself at what OH just bought me. I can't believe it really. I'm pleased to report that it's cooled down here a bit tonight so I might go for a walk a bit later.
