I have several, here are a few.
Nicolaus Copernicus, for daring to stick to his conviction in spite of religion
Nikola Tesla, who, in spite of ridicule and strong opposition still persuade his world changing inventions.
Thomas A'Bekett for his courage to withstand the pressures of a king thus retaining his integrity.

.
The list goes on
And one unsung hero who, through out his life was dedicated to the pursuit of justice and the aid of others.
This hero, single handedly, against all odd, saved an entire train crammed with people from being slaughtered.
