i am trying to find some info on new heavy vehicle laws for WA.

not sure if they have been introduced or still to happen.

i couldn't find anything

someone was saying when using a freight provider the company assigning the freight will be responsible for making sure the truck/driver complies with all rules. surely this can't be right?

The new state legislation will, for the first time, place obligations on all parties in the road transport supply chain – the consignor, consignee, packer, loader and receiver, as well as the driver and owner - to take steps to prevent a breach of road transport law. The legislation will also create a legal liability in relation to such breaches for Directors and senior management in organisations.

I was thinking similarly Mr Grizz when Cootes were investigated.

Aren't the drivers responsible? Just as a car driver is responsible for the vehicle being driven.

Or is to whom the vehicle is registered?  They must own an awful lot of trucks.

To Mr Grizz, good luck with it all.  Just saw Meeps answer.  Leave it with you then!  Too much for my poor little brain.
