I see owls sometimes, but normally tawny frogmouths.
They sit on the wires and cast enormous shadows.
An owl swooped once, flew around a foot away then returned to the tree...next night, the same thing...not aggressive, just a warning.
I think it must have had little ones in the tree. The owls are larger, with quite square shoulders.
Went a different way after that for a couple of weeks not to bother them.
